Cookie policy

Last updated 8 September 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Disrupt Synergies AB (“D3”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on disruptsynergies.com and related D3 web services, including apply.disruptsynergies.com.

This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how D3 processes personal data more generally.

01 What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that may be stored on your computer, mobile device or other terminal equipment when you visit a website.

Cookies can be used to:

  • enable technical website functionality;
  • remember settings or preferences;
  • maintain sessions;
  • protect websites against abuse or malicious activity;
  • enable forms and other requested functionality; and
  • collect information about how a website is used.

Cookies may be:

  • Session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser; or
  • Persistent cookies, which remain on your device for a specified period or until you delete them.

Cookies may also be:

  • First-party cookies, set by the website you are visiting; or
  • Third-party cookies, set by an external service provider.

02 D3’s approach

to cookies

D3 aims to use as few cookies as reasonably necessary.

D3 does not currently use cookies for:

  • Google Analytics;
  • advertising or retargeting cookies;
  • behavioural advertising technologies; or
  • cross-site tracking technologies for marketing purposes.

D3 uses Plausibl Analytics for website analytics. Plausible operates without cookies, persistent identifiers, cross-site tracking or cross-device tracking in its standard configuration. It is therefore not used by D3 to place analytics cookies on visitors’ devices.

Where cookies are technically necessary to provide a service requested by the visitor, such cookies may be used without consent where permitted by applicable law.

Under Swedish rules, non-essential cookies generally require prior consent, while cookies that are strictly necessary for a service requested by the visitor are exempt from that requirement.

03 Website analytics

D3 uses its Analytics to understand how visitors use disruptsynergies.com and to evaluate website performance, relevance and engagement.

It operates without conventional analytics cookies in its standard configuration and does not rely on persistent visitor identifiers for cross-site advertising or behavioural profiling.

D3 may use it to analyse information such as:

  • page views;
  • visits;
  • referral and traffic sources;
  • browser category;
  • operating system;
  • device category;
  • approximate geographic information;
  • visit duration;
  • campaign parameters;
  • entry and exit pages; and
  • selected website events and conversions.

D3 may use it to analyse information such as:

  • file downloads;
  • outbound link clicks;
  • form completions;
  • website search activity;
  • application-related actions;
  • enquiries;
  • contact-form activity; and
  • engagement with Strategic Foresight content.

This information is used to understand overall website performance and commercial interest. It is not used to build advertising profiles of individual visitors.

04 Google

Search Console

D3 uses Google Search Console to understand how disruptsynergies.com is indexed and presented in Google Search.

Search Console may provide D3 with information such as:

  • search queries;
  • impressions;
  • clicks;
  • indexing status;
  • landing-page performance; and
  • technical search visibility.

D3 has connected Search Console to its website analytics application so that search-performance data can be reviewed alongside website analytics.

Google Search Console is not Google Analytics. D3’s use of Search Console does not mean that Google Analytics or advertising cookies are placed on visitors’ devices.

05 Forms and

applications

D3 uses third-party form services, including Taly, for certain forms and application processes, including functionality available through its application form.

These services may use strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies where required to:

  • display forms;
  • maintain form sessions;
  • enable navigation between form steps;
  • process submissions;
  • protect the service against abuse; or
  • provide functionality requested by the user.

Where you submit information through a D3 form, the information provided may constitute personal data.

Further information about how D3 processes personal data submitted through forms is available in our Privacy Policy.

06 Strictly necessary

cookies

D3 may use strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies where required for:

  • technical website operation;
  • security;
  • session handling;
  • form functionality;
  • preference management; and
  • protection against abuse or malicious activity.

These technologies are used only where necessary to provide website functionality or services requested by the visitor.

Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent where the relevant legal exemption applies.

07 Current cookie

categories

D3 currently distinguishes between the following categories:

Strictly necessary

Used where required for website operation, security, form functionality, session handling or requested services.

Analytics

D3 uses its Analytics in a cookieless configuration. It is not used by D3 to place conventional analytics cookies on visitors’ devices.

Marketing and advertising

D3 does not currently use cookies for behavioural advertising, retargeting or personalised advertising.

08 Cookie information

and retention

Where cookies are used, D3 provides or makes available information concerning:

  • the cookie name;
  • the provider;
  • the purpose;
  • whether it is a first-party or third-party cookie;
  • the type of information processed; and
  • how long the cookie is stored.

The exact cookies used may vary depending on the functionality a visitor uses and the technical configuration in place at the time.

D3 will update this Cookie Policy if new non-essential cookies or similar technologies are introduced.

09 Consent

Where D3 uses cookies or similar technologies that are not strictly necessary, consent will be requested before they are activated where required by applicable law.

Where consent is required, visitors must be able to:

  • make an informed choice;
  • accept or reject non-essential technologies;
  • avoid pre-selected consent options; and
  • withdraw consent later.

If a visitor does not consent to non-essential cookies, only strictly necessary technologies may be used.

10 Withdrawing or

changing consent

Where consent has been given for non-essential cookies or similar technologies, you may withdraw or change that consent at any time.

Where a cookie-preference function is available on the website, you can use it to update your choices.

You may also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings.

11 Managing cookies

through your browser

Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings.

Depending on your browser, you may be able to:

  • view stored cookies;
  • delete individual or all cookies;
  • block third-party cookies;
  • block cookies from specific websites;
  • prevent cookies from being stored; or
  • receive a notification when a website attempts to store a cookie.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect website functionality.

12 Third-party services and external websites

D3 may link to or integrate functionality from external services.

These may include:

  • application platforms;
  • professional-networking services;
  • scheduling services;
  • embedded media;
  • external documents;
  • research sources;
  • partner websites; and
  • other digital services.

If you follow a link to another website or actively interact with a third-party service, that provider may use cookies or process information according to its own privacy and cookie policies.

D3 is not responsible for cookies independently placed by external websites that a visitor chooses to visit.

Where D3 embeds a non-essential third-party technology directly into its website and that technology requires consent, D3 will seek the required consent before activation.

13 Personal
data

Information processed in connection with website use, analytics, forms or similar technologies may in some circumstances constitute personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Where D3 processes personal data, it does so in accordance with applicable data-protection legislation.

Further information about:

  • categories of personal data;
  • purposes of processing;
  • legal bases;
  • recipients and service providers;
  • retention;
  • international transfers;
  • your rights; and
  • how to contact D3

is available in our Privacy Policy.

14 Changes to this

Cookie Policy

D3 may update this Cookie Policy when:

  • website functionality changes;
  • service providers are introduced or removed;
  • analytics technologies change;
  • cookies or similar technologies change; or
  • legal or regulatory requirements change.

The latest version will be published on this page.
